Antam Respects The Determination Of Suspects 6 Former GM By The AGO

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or Antam respects the determination of the six former General Managers (GM) of BUMN in the case of alleged corruption in the governance of gold commodities for the period 2010 2022 weighing 109 tons by the Attorney General's Office.

"Regarding the determination of the suspect former GM Antam, we respect the ongoing legal process," said Antam Syarif Corporate Secretary Faisal Alkadrie as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 31.

Faisal said Antam was committed to collaborating with related parties if there were things needed to support the ongoing legal process.

However, Faisal ensured that Antam's Metal Mulia business and business as a whole went normal.

He understands that currently there are growing concerns and concerns from the public about Antam's precious metal gold products.

Faisal ensured that all gold products of the Mulia Antam brand circulating in the community were genuine and guaranteed purity levels.

Antam also provides communication channels for Antam's precious metal products to provide information needed by the public, especially Antam's customers, via Whatsapp ALMIRA 0811-1002-002 and Call Center 0804-1-888-888.

"The company is always committed to implementing business practices in accordance with good business governance, and continues to make improvements by complying with applicable regulations," said Faisal.

Previously, the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office named six General Managers of the Logistics Management and Purification Business Unit (UBPPLN) PT Antam Tbk for the 2010 '2022 period in the case of alleged corruption in the governance of gold commodities for the 2010'2022 period weighing 109 tons.

The Director of Investigation at the Jampidsus Attorney General's Office Kuntadi said the six suspects, namely TK as GM UBPPLN for the 2010 period 2011, HN for the 2011 period 2013, DM for the 2013 period 2017, AH for the 2017 period 2019, MAA for the 2019 period 2021 and ID for the 2021 period 2022.

He explained that the suspects as GM UBPPL PT Antam had abused their authority by carrying out activities illegally against manufacturing services that should be in the form of merger, purification, and printing of precious metals.

However, he continued, the suspects against the law and without authority had attached private precious metals with the Mulia Metal brand (LM) Antam.
