Menpan-RB Raises Voice About The Number Of ASNs Participating In The 79th RI Anniversary Ceremony At IKN

BADUNG - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas has raised his voice regarding the number of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) officials and officials who will attend the ceremony to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will hold the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at IKN on August 17, 2024.

The celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan, became the starting point for the gradual transfer of the nation's capital city from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan.

"We don't know yet (the number of ASN who took part in the ceremony) because it could be a full scenario, it could be half," said MenPAN-RB in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, May 21.

Anas assessed that the determination of the number of ASN who would attend the ceremony became the authority of the Ministry of State Secretariat.

"The Ministry of State Secretariat has the authority," he added.

Meanwhile, Anas said that the transfer of ASN to IKN for the initial stage would be carried out after the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at IKN.

"The direction of the President (the transfer of ASN) may be after the ceremony, yes," he said.

Later, said Anas, the transfer of ASN to IKN will be carried out with four scenarios.

This transfer also adjusts to the existing housing in IKN.

"We have made several scenarios for (transfer) ASN to IKN. Of course, the last one is adjusted to residential readiness for ASN. First, the scenario is 14,000, scenario 11,000, scenario 6,000 and finally scenario 3,216. Later, we will adjust it to housing in IKN," he added.
