In Bali's 10th WWF, Pertamina Also Andil Maintains Clean Water Sustainability In All Business Lines

PT Pertamina (Persero) explained a number of efforts to maintain clean water in its various business lines, in the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali.

The World Water Forum is the largest international meeting in the water sector, which involves representatives from many countries. This three-yearly forum is a place for collaboration, discussion, and long-term progress in overcoming global water challenges.

Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso revealed that Pertamina already has a vision to reduce water consumption and reduce waste content in order to maintain water conservation.

The World Water Forum is a valuable moment for Pertamina to share with various parties regarding the steps that have been taken by the company, find the latest solutions and innovations and strengthen the company's commitment to water conservation.

"Pertamina participates directly in this event, proving that Pertamina's role in maintaining water quality and water conservation is in line with global programs," said Fadjar quoting Antara.

Pertamina Subholding also takes part. One of them, subholding integrated marine logistics with various maritime programs such as marine ecosystem protection programs, groundwater conservation, marine literacy entitled "BersE Anergi untuk Laut" to marine animal conservation.

Meanwhile, processing subholding and petrochemicals have a waste water quality monitoring system to ensure good quality water management for the environment.

In addition, Pertamina New and Renewable Energy subholding has a reksa reservoir program as an effort to manage a community-based environment and as well as a clean water conservation program.

Upstream subholding has an environmental quality improvement program using the rig to reef method on oil and gas platforms. The program turns offshore oil platforms into artificial reefs to restore fish habitat and provide benefits to marine ecosystems.

Furthermore, Gas Subholding PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk also has a similar concern by building clean water facilities for communities in Ujungpangkah District, Gresik, East Java. The program supports the government's efforts to access clean water and create a decent and healthy sanitation environment.

Not only that, Pertamina Patra Niaga's subholding commercial and trading also provides maximum support for smooth implementation by ensuring energy readiness for the needs of World Water Forum participants.

In addition to avtur, the need for fuel and LPG during the World Water Forum is a service prioritized by Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional for East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus).

Pertamina's support is also for the health side, where PT Pertamina Bina Medika-Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) takes on the role of service coordinator for the medical team for VVIP guests. The IHC has prepared 30 medical personnel, including doctors and nurses and seven ambulance rescue units equipped with mini ICU equipment until May 25, 2024 at the WWF location.

Then, PT Pelita Air as an airline with the Bali route, also prepares its best fleet and services for easy transportation for World Water Forum participants.
