West Kalimantan-Banten Collaborate To Build A Sharia Economic Ecosystem

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of West Kalimantan Province (Kalbar) Harisson together with the Chairman of the Banten Province Regional Economic and Financial Committee (KDEKS) Dr. Hj Siti Marifah discussed the sharia economic ecosystem development program in West Kalimantan.

"Today we received an audience from the Chairman of the Regional Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KDEKS) of Banten Province, Mrs. Siti Marifah, and her staff and we discussed the sharia economic ecosystem development program in Banten and West Kalimantan," said Harisson, in Pontianak, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 18.

Harisson, who is also the Chairman of the Regional Committee for Economics and Sharia Finance of West Kalimantan Province, said that the meeting was held to discuss various potentials and challenges in developing the sharia economy in West Kalimantan.

He emphasized his commitment to fully support this effort, given the importance of the Islamic economic sector in improving the welfare of the community and supporting regional economic growth.

"West Kalimantan has great potential in developing the sharia economy, including in the halal industry sector and halal tourism. We will try hard to take advantage of this potential for mutual progress," he said again.

Dr. Hj Siti Marifah, who is also the First Daughter of Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin, explained that in the arrangement of the halal industrial area and halal tourism, in the future many can be synergized in the sharia economic system.

Siti Marifah also said that collaboration between West Kalimantan Province and Banten Province can be a good example for other regions in implementing a sustainable and inclusive sharia economic system.

"This collaboration is not only about the economy, but also about building a system that supports social welfare and justice for the entire community," he also said.

He also hopes that this meeting is expected to pave the way for various collaborative initiatives and programs between the two provinces, including increasing the capacity of sharia business actors, developing halal products, and promoting wider halal tourism.

Both sides agreed to continue to communicate and work together in realizing this common vision.

"With the synergy between West Kalimantan Province and Banten Province, it is hoped that the development of the sharia economy in Indonesia can be faster, provide greater benefits for the community, and make Indonesia the center of the world's sharia economy," he said again.
