The Fifty-Type Toll Road Operates Freely Starting This Morning

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) will operate without tariff for the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road Section Fifty-Kisaran starting Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 07.00 WIB.

This follows the issuance of the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number 913/KPTS/M/2024 concerning the Stipulation of the Operation of the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road Section Lima Puluh-Kisaran.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said this toll road facility was in accordance with the Minimum Service Standard (SPM) which had previously been tested through the Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) agenda from February 29 to March 1, 2024 and had received an Operational Implementation Certificate (SLO) on March 28, 2024.

"To ensure that the quality of toll roads and services are guaranteed, previously training and simulations have been carried out on officers who include safety aspects, road traffic management, road facilities, complementary buildings, operations & administration as well as related to security, excellent service, emergency handling and others to as many standby personnel who will be on duty," said Adjib quoted from Hutama Karya's official website, Wednesday, May 15.

The operation of Section Fifty-Kiran is still without tariffs or unpaid. However, toll road users still have to prepare an electronic money card (EU) for tapping at toll gates.

This is because this toll road is a connection from the Indrapura-Kisaran Section I Indrapura-Five Puluh which has previously been operating since November 10, 2023 and has been set tariffs.

"Before passing, we urge road users to ensure that the EU card is in good condition and the chip is still functioning and the balance is sufficient," he added.
