JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) held a Health Week Bazaar for May 13-16, 2024 at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta.
This event presented a number of booths on health that can provide education about a healthy lifestyle.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that health tourism must be mobilized in the future to optimize the potential of more than IDR 170 trillion which has been spent by the Indonesian people to get health abroad.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, we also encourage the Health Week that we are doing together with the collaborative industry with the community. Here there are activities to measure the waist circumference, blood tests and several other activities," said Menparekraf Sandiaga in his official statement, Monday, May 13.
"Because we believe that health is the main and health-based tourism, we must activate it in the future. Activities like this really support wellness tourism," he continued.
Sandiaga said, there were 15 tenants who participated, ranging from dental health, eyes, healthy food intake to others.
He said this week's health can be an inspiration for the public to always be aware of a healthy lifestyle.
"We hope this can be a routine activity. If possible, we will do it every week, because I want to become a culture and can bring about changes in public health management," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani said this Health Week consisted of three main activities, namely a health seminar with the theme 'Self Mouth Check (SAMURI) for Mouth Cancer Detection', Integrated Development Post for Infectious Diseases which is an early examination/detection and exhibition of health products.
