JAKARTA - PT Yadea Teknologi Indonesia laid the first stone or groundbreaking of an electric motorcycle factory in Karawang, West Java, today.
General Manager of PT Yadea Teknologi Indonesia Wang Jin Long said, the establishment of the Yadea factory will have an annual production capacity of 3 million units with an investment value of 150 million US dollars or around Rp. 2.41 trillion until 2028.
The construction of the Yadea factory will be carried out on an area of 27 hectares (ha).
"After the factory is established, it is estimated that it will create more than 3,000 new jobs. In addition, Yadea will also actively train new local experts, jointly encouraging sustainable growth here," he said at the groundbreaking of the Yadea factory in the Surya Semesta Internusa area, Karawang Regency, West Java, Monday, May 13.
Wang said the factory is scheduled to operate in 2026.
