JAKARTA - PT TASPEN (Persero) as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) continues to actively contribute to supporting the welfare of the community, one of which is through the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa). This contribution is realized through the Development and Arrangement of Ulos Tourism Village in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra.

For this contribution, TASPEN won the Gold Category Award for the Ulos TASPEN Tourism Village Program at the 2024 CSR & Development of Sustainable Villages' (PDB) Awards organized by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) at the Westin Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 7. The award was handed over directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. (HC) KH Ma'ruf Amin to the Director of Operations TASPEN, Ariyandi.

TASPEN Corporate Secretary, Yoka Krisma Wijaya said, appreciation was given to the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) for the award given to TASPEN.

"We also give appreciation to all TASPEN personnel for their dedication and optimal performance in an effort to get closer to the community through various TJSL program innovations. This award will trigger enthusiasm for TASPEN management and all personnel to continue to contribute directly to the community and continue to serve TASPEN participants reliably and safely. TASPEN continues to strive to have a positive impact and long-term benefits for the general public and TASPENm participants," he explained.

TASPEN won the Gold Category Award for the Ulos TASPEN Tourism Village Program with a score of 90.26. This is thanks to TASPEN's efforts in carrying out the construction and arrangement of the Ulos Tourism Village by building several public facilities, carrying out community development activities, and holding management training for local residents.

This is expected to attract the enthusiasm of tourists to visit Ulos Village, so that it can have a positive impact on the growth of the Kampung Ulos MSME economic ecosystem as the Indonesian government's Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP).

Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia KH Ma'ruf Amin appreciates BUMN and private companies, BUMDes and other local driving actors who continue to be committed to his CSR program and help the government in achieving development targets.

"I hope that the target recipients of CSR must really be considered so that it is appropriate and beneficial for rural communities and can encourage inclusive and environmentally friendly economic development," explained the Vice President.

This event was attended by around 100 companies consisting of state-owned companies and private cross-sectoral companies, ranging from mining, oil and gas, power plants, industry and manufacturing, telecommunications, plantations, banking, real estate, to insurance.

The process of judging this activity is carried out strictly, starting from document verification to direct field visits conducted by the 2024 CSR & GDP Awards jury. The Village and Regional Development program in Indonesia has been a flagship program for the TASPEN Social Responsibility Unit (TJSL) since 2022 and is planned to be carried out evenly in Indonesia.

On the same occasion, TASPEN also received a Silver category award for the UPPER Village Program (Dalal TASPEN) with a value of 84.02.
