KESDM Sets HIP BBN Bioethenol May At IDR 14,528 Per Liter

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) has set the Price of the Planted Fuel Index (HIP) for Bioethenol in May 2024 at IDR 14,528 per liter.

Head of the Communication, Public Information and Cooperation Service (KLIK) Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Agus Cahyono Adi said that the HIP BBN Bioethenol had increased by Rp32 per liter when compared to the previous month, which was Rp14,496 per liter in April 2024.

"This stipulation will take effect from May 1, 2024, as stated in the Letter of the Director General of EBTKE Number T-1378/EK.05/DJE.B/2024 which was signed on April 22, 2024," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 30.

As for the calculation of the price of HIP BBN Bioethenol, Agus explained, using the predetermined formula, namely (The average price of cane cane KPB is 3 months x 4,125 kg/L) + 0.25 US dollars per liter. So that the HIP BBN Bioethenol in May 2024 is obtained at a price of Rp. 14,528 per liter.

"The average KPB sugar cane price is November 15, 2023 to April 14, 2024 to Rp2,565/kg. And the conversion of the exchange rate uses an average Bank Indonesia middle rate with an exchange rate period on March 15 - April 15, 2024, amounting to Rp15,783," concluded Agus.
