BPH Migas: Fuel Distribution To Gas Stations Must Be In Accordance With The Rules

JAKARTA - The Committee of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) said that fuel distribution services at gas stations must run according to the rules in order to provide comfort to the community.

According to Member of the Committee for the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Iwan Prasetya Adhi, BPH Migas conducted monitoring at gas stations to ensure that fuel services to the community went well.

"Our supervision has had a good impact on our colleagues at gas stations to carry out operations according to the predetermined procedures," he explained, who together with Member of the BPH Migas Committee Wahyudi Anas monitored gas station services in East Purwokerto District, Banyumas, Central Java, Friday (26/4/2024).

During his visit, BPH Migas also checked various facilities and facilities in the gas station area, such as the presence of prayer rooms and toilets, measuring fuel volume, and the dose of water content in the stockpiled tank.

"In terms of documentation, it is quite good. Then, from ATG (automatic tank gauge) and CCTV (closed circuit television) we also see that it has met regulations and is relatively good," explained Iwan.

Meanwhile, Wahyudi said that gas station managers need to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of the community, and always try to anticipate the queue of fuel buyers so that they do not leave the gas station area.

"SPBU has served the community according to applicable regulations. Internal preventive activities are carried out properly. There are no gas stations serving people who buy subsidized fuel from more than one QR code," he said.

In addition, Wahyudi explained that one of the gas stations he visited had received coaching sanctions in 2023. Now, the gas station has cleaned up and the repairs have been seen.

"They are very vigilant and take preventive measures. They do not serve repeated fuel filling, so they run in a safe and controlled condition," he said.

Monitoring activities were also attended by Sales Area Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Tegal Mahfud Nadyo Hantoro and Sales Branch Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Cilacap and Banyumas Andi Arifin.
