JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) applies product-based learning methods through school and industrial synergies to create superior and innovative human resources (HR).

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the strategic effort aims to meet the needs of the industrial sector in supporting productivity and competitiveness. Thus, it can improve the national economy.

"The link and match partnerships that have been built so far include supplying competent human resources in order to create technological innovations needed by the industrial sector," said Minister of Industry Agus in a written statement, quoted on Saturday, April 27.

Agus explained that this program aims to provide experience in production activities to students before graduating and entering directly into the industry. Through this learning method, students have added value when competing in the world of work.

Currently, the Ministry of Industry itself oversees 11 Polytechnics, two Community Academys and nine Vocational Schools spread across various regions of Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan said that one of the higher education units under the Ministry of Industry, namely the Jakarta Company Leadership Academy (APP) Polytechnic, has a technical factory prepared for students in facing the challenges of the logistics industry.

According to him, the technical factor facilitates APP Jakarta students in studying technology to facilitate the logistics process, and even being challenged to develop it.

He said through this method, students at APP Jakarta learn to develop line followers robots that are widely used in today's modern industries.

The line follower robot is a robot that uses sensors to follow the line.

"In the industrial context, the robot line followers are closely related to automation, for example in the transfer of goods and inspection of production lines," he said.
