Pertamina Patra Niaga Disbursed Efforts To Equit Energy Equity Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading participated in the international leading industrial exhibition, Hannover Messe 2024. On this occasion Pertamina Patra Niaga explained efforts to equalize energy from the west to east of Indonesia.

Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director, Riva Siahaan said, as Pertamina's subholding at the forefront of community energy needs, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strive to meet energy needs throughout Indonesia.

"This is distributed from west to east of Indonesia, and the largest volume of our business is related to transportation fuel. Pertamina Patra Niaga also meets the needs of fuel for the industry," said Riva, Wednesday, April 24.

In the industry exhibition that discussed technological advances, innovation, and global collaboration, Riva also explained the company's efforts to provide an understanding of energy to the community. In this case, Pertamina Patra Niaga collaborated with Ecodin, providing Pertamina officers as ambassadors to educate the public.

"In addition, at Pertamina Patra Niaga because we are indeed the leading point in communicating with the community, we are also carrying out activities called sustainability assets," he said.

In addition, Riva also talked about Pertamina Patra Niaga's efforts to produce environmentally friendly fuels, Pertamina Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) or Bioavtur.

According to Riva, Pertamina and Garuda Indonesia last year carried out the first commercial flight using SAF as an effort to reduce emissions and support the achievement of the Net Zero Emission target.

"We and Garuda Indonesia conducted flight tests using SAF," he said.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso said that Pertamina's role as an energy SOE is very strategic to serve the energy needs of the community to villages and remote areas of the country.

"Pertamina must manage national energy according to the mandate of the law, namely availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability and sustainability," concluded Fadjar.

For information, Hannover Messe 2024 took place from April 22 to 26 in Hannover, Germany. Also present on this occasion were Commission VII DPR RI Maman Abdurrahman, Dony Maryadi Oekon, and Eddy Soeparno, and Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Arif Havas Oegroseno.
