Gojek Joins The COVID-19 Vaccination Business

JAKARTA - PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa (Gojek) is now providing a COVID-19 vaccination facility that can be accessed through the GoMed feature. The company made by Nadiem Makarim plays a role in providing scheduling access through the GoMed service which is integrated with Halodoc.

In its flow, Gojek will provide a fleet of cars in the COVID-19 vaccination area to support participants who come without a vehicle so that the adoption of health and security protocols is maintained.

Gojek co-CEO Kevin Aluwi said he really appreciated the government's policies and efforts in prioritizing the elderly as vaccine recipients.

"We are grateful that the government has supported and given confidence in our ecosystem so that we can continue to contribute as partners in education related to COVID-19", he said in a press statement, quoted on Friday, March 5.

In addition, Kevin also expressed his appreciation for the country's concern for choosing Gojek driver partners to be included in the initial phase of vaccine recipients.

"We are also grateful that the government has included groups of public transportation workers including online driver partners in the group of public service workers who receive vaccines, thus contributing to suppressing the spread of the COVID-19 virus", he said.

On the same occasion, Halodoc CEO, Jonathan Sudharta said that his party is the first and only official partner for the Ministry of Health in providing vaccination service posts through the drive-thru method.

"We will continue to maximize our ability to help accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination program in Indonesia. We believe that this cross-stakeholder collaboration can help achieve the targets that have been set this year", he explained.

For information, the Ministry of Health presents a COVID-19 vaccination service post through a drive-thru mechanism. In its implementation, Halodoc collaborates with Gojek as a transportation and communication partner.

Then, Hermina Hospital is also appointed as the medical team in the field as well as the vaccinator, and the Public Service Agency (BLU) Kemayoran Complex Management Center (PPKK) as the provider of the area for vaccination. This program itself was inaugurated by the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin on Wednesday, March 3.

Apart from Jakarta, drive-thru vaccinations are spread in 11 other cities in Indonesia. To access this service, people only need to download the Halodoc application, then choose the location and time of vaccination available. Information on COVID-19 Vaccination can also be accessed through the GoMed service on the Gojek application.
