Pertamax Series Consumption Soars 94 Percent In Central Java And DIY

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina noted that the consumption of Pertamax Series (Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo) increased sharply by 94 percent compared to the normal daily average on Saturday, April 13, or the third day after Lebaran in Central Java Province (Central Java) and Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).

This was revealed by the Area Manager Communication, Relations, & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Central Java PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Brasto Galih Nugroho.

He said the significant increase showed that quality fuel consumption (BBM) was the choice of travelers to return to their hometowns or districts.

"Compared to before Lebaran (5 to 10 April) the consumption of fuel in D+3 Eid is higher on the Trans Java toll road route B (rest area or rest area to Jakarta) and is dominated by the Pertamax Series product," he said, Monday, April 15.

Brasto said this indicates that there has been a backflow. For this reason, his party seeks to optimally serve consumers and always monitor so that stocks and distributions at public refueling stations (SPBU) and Pertashop (SPBU mini) to meet the extraordinary fuel needs along the flow of homecoming and return.

Regarding the increase in the consumption of Pertamax Series BBM, Pertamina appreciates the choice of consumers who entrust Pertamina products with high octane to accompany travel back to overseas.

"The use of high-octane fuel helps your vehicle be more responsive and efficient because burning is more perfect," explained Brasto.

As for overall gasoline fuel (Pertalite and Pertamax Series) in Central Java and DIY, the increase on Saturday, April 13th was 48 percent of the normal daily average, which rose from around 12.9 thousand kiloliters (KL) to around 19 thousand KL.

Meanwhile, the trend of consumption of BBM Pertamax series after Lebaran on April 11 to 13 can also be seen in several cities in Central Java and DIY with the highest increase in consumption occurring in Kebumen Regency with consumption increasing by 188 percent compared to normal daily averages and areas with the highest pertamax series consumption in DIY are Gunung Kidul Regency with an increase of up to 284 percent compared to normal conditions.

"We always appeal to travelers before traveling to their hometowns to fill their vehicle tanks at the starting point of their departure with quality fuel in accordance with vehicle specifications," said Brasto.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Petrus Ginting stated that the stock and distribution of fuel and LPG throughout Indonesia are safe and smooth.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to monitor the movement of travelers and ensure that the fuel stock at gas stations is sufficient," said Irto.

Irto added that nationally Pertalite's stock reached 18 days, Pertamax 36 days, Pertamax Turbo 58 days, Biosolar 22 days, Dex 52 days and Avtur 44 days.
