There Are 2.8 Million Vehicles Crossing The Astra Infra Toll Road During The 2024 Eid Holiday

The Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road for the Cigombong - Cibadak Km 64+600 section is ready to function on Thursday (11/4/2024).

Astra Infra recorded that during the homecoming flow from March 31 to April 10, 2024, 2.8 million vehicles were recorded crossing the Astra Infra toll road. As for the Tangerang-Merak toll road on March 31 to April 10, 2024, it was recorded that around 1.5 million vehicles passing with the peak current occurred on April 5, 2024, reaching a total of 176,000 passing vehicles. Head of the Astra Infra Group Lebaran Task Force Rinaldi stated that the best service has been carried out by Astra Infra together with the police to effectively break down the density leading to Merak Port which had occurred on the peak day of the homecoming flow. On D Lebaran, April 10, 2024, 113,000 vehicles were recorded crossing the Tangerang-Merak toll road. "Meanwhile, at Astra Infra Toll Road Cikopo-Palimanan, there were around 977,000 vehicles passing from March 31 to April 10, 2024. The peak of the current occurred on April 6, 2024, with a total of around 134,000 vehicles passing by," said Rinaldi in his official statement, quoted Friday, April 12. Meanwhile, on D Lebaran Day, April 10, 2024, there were 93,000 vehicles crossing the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road. On April 10, 2024, contraflow traffic engineering was implemented at KM 87-104 at 21:56 WIB which lasted until April 11, 2024 at 05.00 WIB to unravel the congestion that had occurred. Meanwhile at Astra Infra Toll Road Jombang-Mojokerto, there were 458,000 vehicles passing from D-10 Lebaran to D-H Lebaran, with the peak current occurring on April 10, 2024. The total reached 61,000 vehicles crossing the toll road. Traffic conditions at Astra Infra Toll Road Jombang-Mojokerto until April 10, 2024 were observed to be busy and smooth throughout the Eid homecoming flow. In order to distribute traffic flow, Astra Infra also applies a 20 percent toll rate discount during the Lebaran return flow which is valid on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 05.00 WIB until Friday, April 19, 2024 at 05.00 WIB (2 x 24 hours). The tariff discount applies to all groups of vehicles crossing the Tangerang-Merak, Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) and Jombang-Mojokerto Toll Roads continuously (gate to gate) and for toll transactions using electronic money cards with sufficient balance.

Astra Infra also urges toll road users to always prioritize safety by maintaining vehicle speed limits and resting if they are tired, sleepy or have been driving for 4 hours in a row. Road users are also advised to maintain facilities and rest sufficiently in the rest area. "If the rest area is full, road users can also take advantage of rest areas outside toll roads to then re-enter without additional costs," he added.
