Welcoming Bitcoin Halfing, Crypto Academy Helat Event Spectacle Attended By 8,000 People

JAKARTA - The largest educational platform and the cryptocurrency community in Indonesia, the Crypto Academy, successfully held a spectacular 'Road to Bitcoin Halfing' event, which was held at the Senayan Jakarta Tennis Indoor on Sunday 7 April.

This event is in the main spotlight in order to welcome a large phenomenon in the cryptocurrency world, namely Bitcoin Halfing, which is predicted to occur in April 2024.

Bitcoin Halving itself is a rare event that occurs once every four years, where the prizes for Bitcoin miners are halved. The main goal is to keep Bitcoin inflation and ensure that this crypto asset remains valueable over time.

"On this occasion, once every four years, we want to expand our education about crypto in Indonesia by making this free event which was attended by more than 8,000 people," explained Timothy Ronald, Co-founder of the Crypto Academy.

The development of technology to the increasing level of adaptation of society, especially young people, is the reason behind the importance of cryptocurrencies for the future.

At the beginning of this year alone, the United States became the first country in the world to legalize the Exchange Trade-Fund (ETF) Spot Bitcoin as a legal and accessible investment instrument in the Uncle Sam's capital market.

Various world giant investment companies such as BlackRock, ARK21, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, to VanEck have even become securities that provide these products to be traded on Wall Street. Last month alone, Bitcoin's ETF Spot transactions managed to penetrate 12.1 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp192 trillion.

Chainalysis, a blockchain data platform, also released research stating that Indonesia is the country with the seventh-highest crypto adaptability in the world. This achievement surpassed a number of countries such as Thailand, China, Russia, and the UK.
