Celebrate The Moment Of Ramadan, AQUA Together With The Community In Various Cities Increases Concern For Others And The Environment

JAKARTA - Interpreting the holy month of Ramadan 1445H, AQUA together with a number of partners and organizations also enlivened the holy month of Ramadan through a series of activities full of good meaning with thousands of Muslims in various cities in Indonesia. A number of activities carried out include conducting studies on the importance of fulfilling healthy hydration while fasting, increasing concern for the environment, sending prayers and donations as a form of concern for the victims of aggression in Palestine.

AQUA is also a partner of mosques in Indonesia in fulfilling hydration through quality products, sending assistance related to the needs of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and natural disasters, as well as building clean water and sanitation facilities in nine Islamic boarding schools and one Nahdlatul Ulama branch management office. This activity was held from March 16 to April 7, 2024, these various initiatives are estimated to involve more than 700.000 Muslims in Indonesia.

Vera Galuh Sugijanto, VP General Secretary of Danone Indonesia, said AQUA is committed to always making a positive contribution to the Indonesian people. One of them is realized by organizing various series of activities in the blessing of Ramadan this year.

"We hope that these various activities can strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration with the Muslim community and people in Indonesia and of course bring wider goodness to the people of Indonesia, especially in the holy month of Ramadan," he explained, in a written statement, Sunday, April 7.

AQUA in collaboration with a number of Muslim communities in Indonesia held Ramadan AQUA safari activities in 50 mosques and 69 Islamic boarding schools spread across six provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Aceh, and North Sumatra.

The activities carried out by AQUA include organizing various Ramadan studies activities in a number of mosques in Indonesia such as the Istiqlal Mosque, Cut Meutia Mosque, Sunda Kelapa Grand Mosque, An Nahdlah Mosque, Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board, Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Solo.

Furthermore, AQUA is also a partner for fulfilling the hydration of mosques in various iftar events and has distributed more than 1 million bottles throughout Ramadan. In addition, AQUA also participated in the cheap basic food market to meet low-cost and quality food needs in collaboration with MCMI and the Alma Foundation to distribute more than 17,000 food packages.

In an effort to increase public concern to preserve the environment in the religious scope, AQUA handed over garbage transport cars to the administrators of the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta.

Bukhori Sail Attahiri, Head of the Worship Division of the Istiqlal Mosque, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts to manage waste with AQUA.

This program is very useful for us because we produce a very large amount of waste, especially during the month of Ramadan. We hope this program can be an example for other mosques in Indonesia to do the same thing," he said.

Bukhori explained that this waste processing program will facilitate the waste disposal process so that waste can be managed properly, especially the production of waste at the Istiqlal Mosque can reach 2 trucks a day. He hopes that what the Istiqlal Mosque does can be imitated by all mosques in Indonesia.

"We hope that this program can be followed by other mosques or the private sector or the government. We can further strengthen and develop good cooperation in the future," added Bukhori.

In line with a statement from the Head of the Istiqlal Mosque Worship Division, Wishnu Dewanto, General Chairperson of PB MCMI and Deputy Chairperson of the Cut Meutia Mosque Foundation Management, appreciated the various collaborations and initiatives carried out by AQUA during Ramadan.

"We appreciate the collaboration that exists today, including support from the private sector such as AQUA, which has collaborated with MCMI, the National Food Agency, BULOG and the community at the Cheap Food Market and Ramadan Jazz. With various activities targeting sectors that are crucial and touch the community directly, we hope to provide maximum benefits for the people of Indonesia," explained Wishnu.

In this Ramadan safari activity, AQUA also facilitated the Muslim community to help alleviate the suffering of the brothers and sisters in Palestine by becoming the main sponsor of the 13th Ramadan Jazz Festival which was held at the Cut Meutia Mosque Court. The benefits of this activity will later be channeled as humanitarian assistance for Palestine.

Reinforced his commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts for victims of Israeli aggression in Palestine, AQUA is working with the Amil Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah Nahdlatul Ulama (LAZISNU) agencies to hand over second-stage humanitarian donations.

Regarding the commitment to support the Palestinian people, AQUA together with a number of partners in West Sumatra also handed over material support through the National Amil Zakat Agency, West Sumatra. To date, the total donation for Palestine from AQUA has reached more than IDR 4 billion. In addition to providing material support, AQUA also provides moral support realized through prayers with partners and Muslims to ask for the safety of the Palestinian people.
