Toll Rates Discount 20 Percent Trans-Java Jarta-Semarang Applicable Today

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk together with its business group along with a number of other Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) on the Trans Java Toll Road have started to impose a tariff cut of 20 percent since today.

The tariff discount is valid until Friday, April 5, 2024 at 05.00 WIB for the Trans Java Toll Road from Jakarta to Semarang during the Eid Al-Fitr 1445 homecoming period.

The 20 percent toll rate discount only applies to continuous travel from the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to the Kalikangkung GT of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road on the flow of homecoming.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the purpose of this toll tariff cut is to distribute traffic which is predicted to start increasing on Friday, April 5, 2024 and avoid being concentrated at one time at the peak of the homecoming flow which is predicted to fall on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Lisye said this toll tariff discount is also in line with the government's advice to travel home early and avoid the peak of the homecoming flow. So that people can take advantage of the time to apply this toll rate cut to avoid areas that have the potential to become a density point on the Jasa Marga Group toll road, especially from Jakarta to Semarang.

"The important thing to keep in mind by road users is that tariff cuts will only apply if transactions are carried out using electronic money (e-toll). Rating discounts do not apply if transactions with e-toll balances are insufficient or cannot be read by the origin and class of vehicles," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, April 3.

Therefore, Lisye reminded people who want to go home to ensure the adequacy of their e-toll balance before starting the trip.

"Once again, make sure the adequacy of e-toll balances is at least IDR 500,000 for class I vehicles traveling from Jakarta to Semarang to avoid a lack of balance when making transactions at GT Kalikangkung to avoid queues at toll gates," said Lisye.

Lisye said that a 20 percent discount will be applied to all groups of vehicles. For this continuous journey, road users will pass several toll roads, including the Jasa Marga Group toll road including Jakarta-Cikampek, Palimanan-Kanci, Batang-Semarang and Semarang Section ABC as well as the Non Jasa Marga Group toll road, including Cikampek-Palimanan, Kanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang and Pemalang-Batang.

"The implementation of the toll tariff discount will be calculated when tapping out at the exit toll gate, namely at GT Kalikangkung during the period of homecoming flow or GT Cikampek Utama during the backflow period according to the predetermined date and time," he said,

"So the tariff discount does not apply if road users tap out on the last day of the tariff cut beyond 05.00 WIB. Therefore, we urge road users to prepare travel times on homecoming flow and return flow as best they can to take advantage of the 20 percent discount," explained Lisye.

The amount of the 20 percent toll rate discount for the continuous travel rate for homecoming from Jakarta to Semarang (only valid on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 05.00 WIB to Friday, April 5, 2024 at 05.00 WIB, only for the origin of GT Cikampek Utama to GT Kalikangkung) is as follows:

Class I Vehicles: Initially IDR 400,000 to IDR 320,000, a tariff discount of IDR 80,000.

Class II and III Vehicles: Initially IDR 617,500 to IDR 494,000, tariff discount of IDR 123,500.

Class IV and V Vehicles: Initially, IDR 813,500 was IDR 650,800, a tariff cut of IDR 162,700.

Valid also for backflow

Lisye said the 20 percent toll rate cut will also be in effect again in the Idulfitri 1445 return flow period, starting Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 05.00 WIB, until Friday, April 19, 2024 at 05.00 WIB for the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Jakarta (only for the origin of GT Kalikangkung to GT Cikampek Utama) with the following tariff:

Class I Vehicles: Initially IDR 421,500 to IDR 337,200, tariff discount of IDR 84,300

Class II And III Vehicles: Initially IDR 649,500 to IDR 519,600, tariff discount of IDR 129,900

Class IV And V Vehicles: Initially IDR 856,500 to IDR 685,200, tariff discount of IDR 171,300

Lisye also said Jasa Marga again appealed to road users to rearrange travel time by avoiding travel at the predicted time to be the peak of homecoming and backflow and using the implementation of the tariff discount as much as possible.

"Avoid traveling at your favorite time, such as after dawn or breaking the fast," he said.
