The IKN Infrastructure Budget Plus IDR 35.45 Trillion In 2024, Here Are The Project Details

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the budget allocation for infrastructure support in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) was increased to IDR 35.45 trillion for this year.

Basuki explained that the IKN budget allocation in 2024 will increase when compared to last year's IDR 24 trillion. The increase in the budget will be allocated to each work unit of the Ministry of PUPR, especially the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Water Resources, Cipta Karya, Bina Marga and Housing.

"In 2024, IKN's infrastructure support will be allocated IDR 35.45 trillion. In 2023 there was IDR 24 trillion, so around IDR 60 trillion in total," Basuki said in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the Senayan Parliament Building, Jakarta, Monday, April 1.

He also detailed that the Directorate General of Water Resources has the task of building a flood control system in the Sangai Watershed (DAS), the improvement of the Sepaku Semoi dam, which is currently nearing completion and the construction of reservoirs in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

"At the Directorate General of Highways with (budget) Rp. 16.67 trillion to continue the construction of the West Side and East Side National Aquaculture Roads, district roads in the IKN area, IKN Toll Road Section 3A, 3B, 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B and the runway of IKN VVIP Airport," he said.

Then, the Directorate General of Human Settlements received an allocation of IDR 11.44 trillion which will be used to build Water Processing Installations (IPA) and buildings supporting the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM), the Wastewater Processing Installation Installation Network (IPAL) and the Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST).

Later, the Directorate General of Human Settlements will also use the budget for the arrangement of the national axis, construction of a phase 1 KIPP fire projection system, building in the presidential palace area, the coordinating ministry office, and other ministries.

"The Directorate General of Housing (the budget) is IDR 5.76 trillion for the continuation of the construction of landed houses for ministerial positions as well as the construction of ASN and Hankam flats," he added.
