Minister Of Agriculture Amran: East Java Becomes The Largest Recipient Of Subsidized Fertilizers In 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) noted that East Java Province (Jatim) will receive the largest amount of subsidized fertilizer compared to all regions in Indonesia, with an allocation of 1.92 million tons for the distribution of 2024.

"Subsidized fertilizers that have been prepared by the government in 2024, are to increase domestic agricultural productivity so that they can realize food self-sufficiency, which is 9.55 million tons," said Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 30.

The Ministry of Agriculture detailed the distribution of 9.55 million tons of subsidized fertilizer for 34 provinces in Indonesia, first East Java reached 1,920,072 tons including urea fertilizer 981,730 tons, NPK 832,370 tons, NPK-FK 986 tons, organic 104,986 tons; both Central Java 1,514,402 tons including urea fertilizer 773,647 tons, NPK fertilizer 640,510 tons, NPK-FK 149 tons, organic 100,096 tons; West Java 1,211,550 tons including urea fertilizer 634,990 tons, NPK 475,139 tons, NPK-FK 416 tons, organic 101,005 tons.

The fourth is South Sulawesi Province with 869,355 tons including 407,492 tons urea fertilizer, 370,193 tons NPK, 42,118 tons NPK, 49,552 tons organic; the fifth is Lampung 803,718 tons including 349,531 tons urea fertilizer, 396,891 tons NPK, 24,282 tons NPK, 33,015 tons organic; the sixth is North Sumatra 478,298 tons including 212,943 tons urea fertilizer, NPK 233,888 tons, NPK-FK 5,979 tons, 25,488 tons organic.

The seven West Nusa Tenggara as much as 433,606 tons including urea fertilizer 222,405 tons, NPK 190,653 tons, NPK-FK 1,059 tons, organic 19,489 tons; eight South Sumatra 294,474 tons including urea fertilizer 124,356 tons, NPK 148,476 tons, NPK-FK 29 tons, organic 21,613 tons; the ninth West Sumatra 250,634 tons including urea fertilizer 117,322 tons, NPK 130,643 tons, NPK-FK 2,669 tons.

Aceh's 10th as many as 213,150 tons including 100,364 tons urea fertilizer, 94,121 tons NPK, 4,022 tons NPK, 14,643 tons organic; 11 Banten 181,966 tons including 88,520 tons urea fertilizer, 76,113 tons NPK, 17,333 tons organic; 170,159 tons of Gorontalo include 89,848 tons of urea fertilizer, 80,293 tons of NPK, 18 tons of NPK-FK; 149,048 tons of West Kalimantan including 54,193 tons of urea fertilizer, 94,855 tons of NPK.

The 14 East Nusa Tenggara as many as 133,131 tons including urea fertilizer 62,228 tons, NPK 70,244 tons, NPK-FK 659 tons; 15 Central Sulawesi 128,057 tons including urea fertilizer 57,914 tons, NPK 55,069 tons, NPK-FK 15,074 tons; 16 South Kalimantan 111,316 tons including urea fertilizer 47,224 tons, NPK 51,314 tons, organic 12,778 tons; the 17 West Sulawesi 94,528 tons including urea fertilizer 40,098 tons, NPK 35,57 tons, NPK-FK 18,857 tons.

Next to 18 DI Yogyakarta as much as 91,828 tons including urea fertilizer 49,280 tons, NPK 42,411 tons, NPK-FK 137 tons; 19 North Sulawesi 89,936 tons including urea fertilizer 46,711 tons, NPK 42,830 tons, NPK-FK 395 tons; 20 Southeast Sulawesi 84,625 tons including urea fertilizer 31,363 tons, NPK 36,294 tons, NPK-FK 16,968 tons; 21 Bali 78,655 tons including urea fertilizer 41,232 tons, NPK 35,563 tons, NPK-FK 1,859 tons.

The 62 Bengkulu tons include 26,286 tons of urea fertilizer, 37,496 tons of NPK, 11 tons of NPK-FK; 23 Jambi 44,675 tons of urea fertilizer 17,701 tons, 26,966 tons of NPK, 8 tons of NPK-FK; 34,092 tons of East Kalimantan of 34,092 tons of urea fertilizer, 18,698 tons of NPK, 464 tons of NPK-FK; 34,009 tons of Papua's 25 including 13,941 tons of urea fertilizer, 20,042 tons of NPK, 26 tons of NPK-FK.

The 26 Central Kalimantan covers 11,427 tons of urea fertilizer, 15,660 tons of NPK, 9 tons of NPK-FK; the 27 Riau 9,751 tons including 3,846 tons of urea fertilizer, 5,905 tons of NPK; the 28 Maluku 9,638 tons including 4,295 tons of urea fertilizer, 5,343 tons of NPK; the 29 North Kalimantan 7,937 tons including 2,900 tons of urea fertilizer, 4,472 tons of NPK, 565 tons of NPK-FK.

Furthermore, the 30 Bangka Belitung with 5,869 tons including urea fertilizer of 1,743 tons, NPK 4,074 tons, NPK-FK 52 tons; the 31 North Maluku 5,469 tons including urea fertilizer 2,152 tons, NPK 3,259 tons, NPK-FK 58 tons; the 32 West Papua 4,532 tons including urea fertilizer 1,839 tons, NPK 2,692 tons, NPK-FK 1 ton; the 33 Riau Islands 521 tons including urea fertilizer 117 tons, NPK 404 tons; and 34 DKI Jakarta 108 tons including urea fertilizer 58 tons and NPK 50 tons.

"The allocation of subsidized fertilizer refers to the recommendations of the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP)," he said.

Amran said subsidized fertilizers to be distributed throughout 2024 include chemical and organic fertilizers for nine types of commodities such as rice, corn, soybeans, chilies, shallots, garlic, sugar cane, coffee and cocoa.

Amran has symbolically handed over subsidized fertilizer allocations for farmers throughout Indonesia. The Minister of Agriculture symbolically handed over to Mamuju Regent Sitti Sutinah Suhardi who represented all regional heads in the country, after reviewing rice plants in Papalang Village, Mamuju, West Sulawesi (Sulbar) on Thursday (28/3).

Even so, Amran said that there are important things that must be considered in the distribution so that they are right on target, namely the police together with the TNI and local governments to strengthen the supervision of kiosks and distributors so that irregularities do not occur.

"I hope that the Governors, Regents and Mayors will immediately prepare an allocation plan per district and sub-district according to the 2024 e-RDKK data," said Amran.
