Analyst: Rupiah Has A Chance To Strengthen As SBN Results Are Increasingly Interesting

Capital market practitioner and Atma Jaya University Masters lecturer Hans Kwee said the rupiah exchange rate against the United States (US) dollar has the opportunity to strengthen this year, along with yields from State Securities (SBN) which are increasingly interesting.

In addition, he continued, the potential for strengthening the rupiah was also influenced by the start of controlled inflation at a low level.

"The trading strategy can be done by buying stock instruments when correcting, and waiting for the sales momentum when there is certainty of a cut in interest rates," Hans said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 28.

Meanwhile, Senior Economist and Co-Founder of ISED and Associate Faculty LPPI, Ryan Kiryanto, estimates that Indonesia's economic improvement will continue to be supported by increased domestic demand.

"In the medium term, the prospect of economic improvement will continue with stability maintained, thus supporting the revival of the national economy towards advanced Indonesia," said Ryan.
