BI Add Money Exchange Counters At Poncol And Tawang Semarang Stations

Central Java Province Bank Indonesia Representatives added money exchange locations on the Lebaran 1445 Hijri homecoming route, namely Tawang Station and Semarang Poncol Station.

Head of Central Java BI Representative Rahmat Dwisaputra explained that the opening of the money exchange counter at the two stations was covered by the BI Peduli Mudik program.

The operation of the money exchange counter at two stations in Semarang City was only for two days, namely 4-5 April 2024 to serve travelers using train transportation.

According to him, Central Java BI has prepared money worth distribution (ULE) in the amount of Rp. 26.6 trillion through the Semarak Rupiah Ramadan and Berkah Idulfitri (Serambi) 1445 Hijri program.

Especially for the Semarang area, he said, ULE was prepared in the amount of Rp. 10.1 trillion which will be served at 91 currency exchange points in the Semarang City area and its surroundings starting March 25, April 3.

To keep inflation levels under control, Rahmat said the BI Representative Office (KPwBI) throughout Central Java and the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) had implemented the Simultaneous Cheap Food Movement (GPM).

Simultaneous GPM is the distribution of subsidies for several priority food commodities, such as rice, sugar, and broiler eggs which are carried out in three stages.

The first and second stages of Simultaneous GPMs have taken place on March 8 and 15, 2024, while the third stages of Simultaneous GPMs are scheduled for April 2.

In the midst of the momentum of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr this time, he said, Central Java BI continues to oversee Central Java's stability and economic growth in various superior work programs.

Some of the programs that will be carried out in the April 2024 period include the 2024 Kartini Day Commemoration in collaboration with the Rembang Regency Government, UMKM Gayeng 2024.

Then, the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2024 which was held in collaboration with the Central Java Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPM-PTSP).

"Strengthening synergy and coordination with the Regional Government continues to be carried out to support the achievement of increasingly solid economic growth," concluded Rahmat.
