Appointed As PSN, PIK2 Aims For IDR 40 Trillion Investment

PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk or PIK2 (PANI) is currently targeting a total investment of IDR 40 trillion in the PIK2 area. This is after being appointed as a National Strategic Project (PSN) by the government, which will be built starting in 2024 and is targeted for completion in 2060.

"In the total investment plan, it will be facilitated by the private sector and not targeted to use the APBN/APBD," said PANI Corporate Secretary Christy Grassela quoting Antara.

Christy explained, PIK2 is a continuation of the joint venture between Agung Sedayu Group (ASG) and the Salim Group (SG) after successfully developing the PIK 1 and Reclamation Island areas, namely Golf Island and Ebony with a total development area of around 1,600 hectares.

He explained that PSN PIK2 planning with a project range of 1,755 hectares has been studied, including the first, the new development with the concept of Eco-Park (Bhineka Park) which will carry religious diversity and tolerance in Indonesia.

Second, safari tourism as a natural tourist destination that can be accessed by the public, as well as supporting facilities needed to make it easier for tourists to visit, including hotels, restaurants and other facilities.

Third, the golf course is designed to accommodate the standard 27 holes on an international design scale.

Fourth, mangrove tourism as a coast-based natural tourist destination, including mangrove safaris and family recreational parks, as well as mangrove habitats.

Fifth, international circuits to target the automotive lovers segment and are planned to travel nationally and internationally as a magnet for the automotive segment.

Sixth, ecotourism which includes coastal-themed resorts, open and closed parks with the target of the ecotourism tourism segment.

"PIK2 as PSN is a new milestone for developers to have a wider impact, so it's not just building the infrastructure and facilities needed for housing and commercial activities," Christy said.

Along with the development target, Christy explained that currently the PIK2 area is being built on the nearly 40-kilometre (KM)-long Kamal-Telukanaga-Rajeg (KATARA) Toll Road, which is expected to start operating in the next year.
