PT Timah Gaet Kejati Babel Signs PKS To Face Legal Problems

JAKARTA - The High Prosecutor's Office of Bangka Belitung Islands Province and PT Timah Tbk (TINS) cooperate in dealing with legal problems through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Handling Legal Issues for Civil and State Administrative Affairs (Perdatun).

Later, the Babel Prosecutor's Office is ready to assist PT Timah in dealing with legal problems.

"With this cooperation, the prosecutor's office is ready to assist PT Timah if it faces problems, both mitigation and non-migation," said Head of the Babel Islands Provincial Attorney General's Office Asep Maryono quoting Antara.

He said the cooperation agreement signed by the President Director of PT Timah Ahmad Dani Virsal and the Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands High Prosecutor's Office Asep Maryono and the Head of the District Attorney's Office in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

"We appreciate PT Timah for entrusting the prosecutor's office as a companion in terms of civil law and state administration," he said.

According to him, the prosecutor's office is currently improving tin mining governance nationally.

"The tin problem is a complex thing. The Prosecutor's Office does not only focus on PT Timah, we are talking about national governance. I think there are good things that will improve the performance of PT Timah and also the system in PT Timah to make it even better. This is a complex problem not only PT Timah but from outside PT Timah, including the role of the community to maintain the resources in Bangka Belitung," he said.

He stated that the issue of tin governance could not be resolved by PT Timah alone and could not be resolved only by law enforcement.

"This must be done comprehensively, especially the security apparatus must be able to maintain the support and care for the potential in Bangka Belitung. The Prosecutor's Office is always ready to assist this," he said.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Timah Tbk Ahmad Dani Virsal appreciated the synergy that had been established between the Babel Attorney General's Office and PT Timah.

"We appreciate and uphold the synergy established, especially the assistance of the prosecutor's office to PT Timah Tbk both from the AGO, the Attorney General's Office and the Prosecutor's Office to continue to improve performance within the framework of regulations and regulations. Hopefully the efforts we have made so far will benefit PT Timah and our nation," he said.

He added that PT Timah Tbk as a state-owned business entity always wants to prioritize Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as the basis for the company in working and contributing to shareholders. And in applying these GCG principles, of course, support is needed by all parties.

"PT Timah needs assistance and assistance from Jamdatun, especially from a legal perspective so that the principles of GCG as a whole can continue to run in the company's operational activities. In accordance with the corridor of regulations issued by the government regarding tin mining," he said.

He hopes that this cooperation agreement can be a support for PT Timah Tbk. Both in the context of handling and/or resolving legal problems in the field of Civil and State Administrative Affairs, or other forms of support in the context of the duties and functions of the Civil and State Administrative Affairs sector.
