AP I Serves 5.1 Million Passengers In February 2024 At 15 Managed Airports

JAKARTA PT Angkasa Pura I (AP I) noted that it has served 5.1 million passenger movements at 15 airports managed during the February 2024 period.

This number grew 7 percent compared to the same period last year.

AP I President Director MMA Indah Preastuty said passenger movements have continued to grow positively since the beginning of the year. In fact, the number of passengers in February 2024 is closer to the number of passengers in the same period in 2019.

"As for the number of aircraft movements, AP I noted serving 41,472 aircraft movements, down 6 percent compared to February 2023 traffic which reached 44,103 aircraft movements," he explained.

With the additional number of passenger movements in February 2024, Indah said cumulatively AP I had served 10.7 million passenger movements in the first two months of 2024.

"This number grew 6 percent compared to the same period last year, where 10.1 million passenger movements were served by AP I," he said.

Of the total number of passenger movements until February 2024, said Indah, Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has become the busiest AP1 airport with 3.5 million passenger movements served.

Then, Juanda Airport Surabaya is in second place with the highest number of passenger movements with 2.1 million passenger movements. Followed by Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 1.4 million passenger movements.

For aircraft movements, AP I served as many as 88,015 movements in the first two months of 2024. Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport served the highest number with 22,952 movements, followed by Juanda Airport Surabaya with 14,799 movements, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 11,318 movements," he said.

As for cargo movements, said Indah, as much as 88,245 tons of cargo have been served by 15 AP I airports in the first two months of 2024.

"The Jayapura Sentani Airport is the AP1 airport with the highest cargo traffic reaching 25,074 tons, followed by Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar with 14,996 tons, and Juanda Airport in Surabaya with 12,055 tons," he said.
