Regarding The Discovery Of A Body In A Warehouse, Kimia Farma Apotek Is Cooperative And Nothing Is Covered Up

JAKARTA - PT Kimia Farma Apotek (KFA) opened its voice regarding the discovery of the body at Kimia Farma Warehouse Samarinda, East Kalimantan. KFA Operations Director, Muhardiman said his party was cooperative in investigating this case.

Muhardiman also emphasized that no one was covered up by his party regarding the discovery of the body. He also said the warehouse was not a medicine warehouse and was not used for daily operations.

"Since the discovery of the body of the deceased on Sunday (February 18), we immediately reported it to the authorities. The management immediately ordered all pharmacy employees to cooperate with the police to resolve this case transparently by providing all data and supporting information. Nothing is covered up," he said in an official statement, Thursday, March 21.

Muhardiman said KFA Samarinda's Business Unit had also provided all the necessary information and evidence including pharmacy CCTV footage.

Furthermore, Muhardiman also ensured that the change of leadership of KFA Hidayatullah had nothing to do with the incident.

"The replacement is part of a routine transfer program to 50 pharmacies branch heads for Human Resources (HR) refreshment at Kimia Farma Pharmacy branches," he explained.

To facilitate the investigation, KFA management temporarily closed the operational activities of Kimia Farma Hidayatullah Pharmacy as of March 16, 2024. However, KFA continues to ensure public health services through other Kimia Farma pharmacies in Samarinda City.

"KFA as a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma Tbk expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased BMJ who was found dead in a warehouse for storing used goods belonging to KFA Hidayatullah," he said.
