Present At INDO INTERTEX & INATEX 2024, Lenzing Strengthens Sustainability Commitment For Local Fashion Industry

JAKARTA - PT. South Pacific Viscose (SPV), part of the Lenzing Group which is a world-class producer and leader of special fiber-producing technology made of wood, is again participating as one of the exhibitors at the INDO INTERTEX & INATEX 2024 which will take place on 20-23 March 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta.

The INATEX 2024 event, which is the largest trade show for the textile and garment industry in Southeast Asia, is an event for Lenzing to continue to show and strengthen its commitment to providing innovation and technology as a solution to realizing a sustainable textile and clothing industry, especially for the growth of the local fashion business in Indonesia.

TENCELTM is a textile-specific fiber brand of the Lenzing Group used for home clothing and textile product manufacturing. Portfolio brand TENCELTM creates an evolutionary step in terms of sustainability, product functionality gain, convenience and can adapt to everyday use or application. In 2020, in line with Lenzing's commitment to support carbon emission-free 2050, Lenzing launched a TENELTM fiber that has received neutral carbon certification from ClimatePartner.

In addition to TENCELTM, Lenzing produced LENZINGTM ECOVEROTM which became another major breakthrough and started production in Indonesia since mid-2023 by PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV). LENZINGTM ECOVEROTM is a viscose fiber produced with carbon emissions and 50 percent lower water use compared to generic viscose products in general.

This fiber brand has also been certified by EU Ecolabel because it is environmentally friendly. This fiber is biodegradable, which means it can be decomposed naturally and return to nature after being dumped which has been certified by TAHV AUSTRIA.

Not only that, LENZINGTM ECOVEROTM has collaborated with various more than 300 brands, both international and local. Famous local brands such as EIGER, DUST, Sare Studio, Aleza and several other local fashion brands that are now available for consumers in Indonesia.

In the INATEX 2024 event, Lenzing together with 15 business partners from the spinning mills and fabric mills who have common vision and are committed to contributing to the sustainable fashion industry, also displaying and offering a wide selection of threads and fabrics with the best quality superior fiber brands from the TENCELTM and LENZINGTM ECOVEROTM fibers. One of them is PT. Embee Plumbon Textile which is a company engaged in the production of yarn spinning for fabric raw materials.
