RI Will Have 16 Integrated Purification Facilities, This Is The Progress And Investment Value!

JAKARTA - The government is targeting the construction of 16 integrated mineral refining facilities by 2024.

Acting Director General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) Bambang Suswantono in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII of the DPR RI explained the progress of smelter development and investment based on each commodity.

The total investment of the 16 smelters is worth 11.66 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 183 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 15,716,-).

For nickel commodities, said Bambang, the government targets 7 units with 5 units to be completed and 1 unit in progress of 90 percent.

"And one unit is below 30 percent with a total investment of 2,676.4 million US dollars," Bambang said in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Tuesday, March 19.

Meanwhile, 7 units of bauxite commodities are planned. For this commodity, said Bambang, the progress is quite slow with the range of 30 to 90 percent.

The total investment in bauxite smelters is 5,583.5 million US dollars.

Then the iron commodity is targeted to only 1 smelter with a construction progress of 90 percent with a total investment of 51.5 million US dollars.

"The copper commodity is targeted at 1, progress 90 with a total investment of 3,084.7 million US dollars," concluded Bambang.
