Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono said the government would spread 6,800 invitations to attend the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in August 2024.

Bambang said that his party was asked to prepare, but the Indonesian Independence Day committee itself is the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg).

"God willing, the number is 6,800 invitations. Are we ready? Of course we have to be on the side seen from the existing progress. God willing, we will be able to carry out a ceremony on the ceremonial field," said Bambang at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, March 19.

He added that currently the ceremonial field in front of the IKN Presidential Palace is quite ready.

Bambang said the grass was green and its surroundings had been overgrown with trees.

"Our hope is that on August 17 they (trees) will be in a position that is pleasing to the eye," he said.

In addition, Bambang said, there will be two hotels that will be completed in August, namely Hotel Nusantara and Qubika. He said the two hotels had a capacity of 200 rooms each.

"(The hotel) will start operating later, there are also several health and education facilities. Hopefully we can also see it in the field," he said.

Furthermore, said Bambang, his party is targeting the construction of the Phase 1 IKN infrastructure to all be built this year.

"The Nafas must be long until 2045 and we must consistently carry out development according to plan. If we do not follow spatial planning from the start and so on, of course we will have difficulties ourselves," he said.
