JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that there are 6 toll roads that will be functional to support the smooth flow of Lebaran homecoming this year.

This was conveyed by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja when contacted by VOI, Friday, March 15.

The six toll roads are as follows:

1. Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 2B Cikeas-Cibitung along 19.65 kilometers (km);

2. Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road south of the Kutanegara-Sedang section along 8.5 km;

3. Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo toll road segment of the Kartasura-Klaten segment along 22.3 km;

4. Bangkinang-Koto Kampar toll road 24.7 km;

5. Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road Section 2 Kuala Tanjung-Indrapura 9.47 km and Section 3-4 Tebing Tinggi-Sinaksak along 47.15 km; and

6. Indrapura-Kisaran Section 2 Fifty-Kisaran for 32.15 km.

"Those (a number of toll roads) can be used," said Endra.

Meanwhile, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the government would again provide a discount on toll rates during this year's Eid homecoming.

Basuki said that the discounting of toll rates was given to regulate traffic volume (traffic).

"God willing, there will be a discount (toll rate) because the discount is also to regulate traffic," Basuki told reporters at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 13.

Even so, Basuki admitted that no Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) has submitted a tariff discount until now. "Not yet," he said.
