Sri Mulyani Calls The Amount Of THR ASN In Accordance With The New Salary Increase

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati spent a budget for THR disbursement and the 13th salary of ASN reached Rp99.5 trillion. Consisting of Rp48.7 trillion for THR payments and Rp50.8 trillion for the 13th salary payment.

Sri Mulyani said that the total budget disbursed for this purpose reached Rp99.5 trillion. This figure is an increase when compared to 2023 which reached Rp77.6 trillion.

"For us to say this because there has been an 8 percent salary increase, it means that the THR has also increased by 8 percent because it has used an increase. For retirement, it has also increased by 12 percent," Sri Mulyani said in a press conference at her office, Friday, March 15, 2024.

Sri Mulyani explained that the budget was IDR 48.7 trillion for the payment of THR ASN both central and regional. This budget increased when compared to last year's IDR 38.8 trillion. Meanwhile, the 13th salary payment was IDR 50.8 trillion. This figure also increased compared to last year's IDR 38.8 trillion.

Sri Mulyani's increase was due to the fact that in 2023, the government only provided 50 percent of the performance allowance.

"This is because the performance allowance was 100 percent and there was an increase in basic salary, especially for central and regional ASN," he said.

The disbursement of the ASN THR will be carried out starting March 22, 2024 or the fastest 10 working days before Eid. Meanwhile, the disbursement of the 13th ASN salary will be carried out in June 2024.

Sri Mulyani hopes that the provision of THR and the 13th salary can maintain the momentum of national economic growth and stability.

"We hope this will increase purchasing power. I also hope that ASNs who use and spend are for domestic products to encourage the local economy so that this is really useful," he explained.

In addition, the THR budget and 13th Salary have generally been allocated in the APBN and APBD for Fiscal Year 2024 through a budget for Ministries/Institutions (K/L), the State General Treasurer Budget Section (BA BUN), and Regional Transfers (TKD).

K/L can start submitting Payment Orders and Fund Disbursement Orders to the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) starting D-10.

Meanwhile, the disbursement by KPPN is carried out in accordance with the applicable mechanism, with previously all work units being able to start reconciliation of salaries for THR payments starting March 18, 2024.
