JCI Had The Highest Record, IDX Boss Revealed The Cause

JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) revealed that the achievement of the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) on Thursday, March 14, 2024 broke a record high or all time high (ATH) due to improving global conditions.

For information, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, the JCI closed up 0.53 percent to the level of 7,421. JCI had touched the highest level at the level of 7,454 and the lowest level was at 7,380. Total stock trading volume on the IDX reached 14.62 billion, with transaction value reaching Rp13.10 trillion. In trading since March 6, 2024, not even though the JCI closed negatively.

IDX President Director Iman Rachman said that although the JCI was still hit by various challenges, domestically it was still strong and based on performance indicators it remained positive. In addition, he hopes that foreign investors will invest more and more in the Indonesian stock exchange.

"Our domestic performance remains positive. We hope that the index is trending to grow, although it's a bit yoyo (up-down), but we are quite positive," said Iman to reporters at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building (IDX) Jakarta, Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Iman menyampaikan nilai rata-rata transaksi harian (RNTH) juga turun naik pada penutupan sore ini berkat upaya bursa yang melakukan sosialisasi kepada investor asing, misalnya di Australia.

"We hope that market players who are increasingly entering Indonesia. For example, last week I just returned from Australia, to promote to Australian investors about Indonesia and bring Indonesian issuers," he explained.

According to Iman, the Indonesia Stock Exchange does not remain silent to continue to socialize to foreign investors so that this year's target is achieved.

"So we also don't close the stock exchange because the index depends on financial conditions and so on. That's why we add investors, we add issuers, we do it both domestically and in transactions," concluded Iman.
