Government Reserve Rice Distribution In Nagan Raya Aceh Reaches 63.65 Percent

ACEH - The Nagan Raya Regency Government, Aceh Province, noted that the distribution of government reserve rice assistance intended for 16,188 poor people in 10 sub-districts in the area, until the second week of March 2024, had reached 63.65 percent.

"The distribution of government reserve rice in the second phase is specifically for rice distribution in February 2024," said Head of the Nagan Raya Regency Marine, Fisheries and Food Service (DKPP) Azman as quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, March 13.

Azman explained, each beneficiary community gets 10 kilograms of rice per person.

He said the rice aid was assistance provided by the National Food Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, with the assignment of Perum Bulog which was distributed through PT Pos Indonesia as the official transporter.

The realization of the distribution of government reserve rice for February 2024, which is currently underway, including in Beutong District, reached 77.81 percent with a total of 2,032 beneficiaries, Darul Makmur District reached 49,95 percent or 5,113 beneficiaries, Kuala District reached 85.61 percent with a total of 1,425 beneficiaries, Kuala Pesisir District reached 90.35 percent with 1,451 beneficiaries.

Then in Seunagan Subdistrict, the realization of government reserve rice distribution has reached 93.03 percent with a total of 1.334 beneficiaries, Suka Makmue District reaching 88.24 percent with a total of 969 beneficiaries, Tadu Raya District reaching 88.24 percent with 1.250 beneficiaries, and Tripa Makmur District reaching 51.53 percent with a total of 850 beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, the other two sub-districts, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang sub-districts, are still zero percent with 329 beneficiaries, East Seunagan District with 1,435 beneficiaries.

Azman said that until now the local government together with Perum Bulog Meulaboh Branch together with PT Pos Persero continue to strive to distribute rice aid to eligible communities.

In 2024, he said, Nagan Raya Regency will receive a quota of 16,188 beneficiary families (KPM) for rice assistance from the government.

This food assistance is provided in two stages, including in the first phase of the January-March 2024 period. Then in the second phase it will be distributed in the April-June 2024 period.

Azman said the rice assistance received by the beneficiary family or KPM used data on the Suspension of the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Elimination (P3KE) from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
