Minister Of Agriculture Amran Ensures That The Addition Of Subsidized Fertilizers To 9.55 Million Tons Has Been Approved By The DPR

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman ensured that the addition of subsidized fertilizer from 4.7 million tons to 9.55 million tons had received approval from all parties, including at a limited meeting of the DPR and from the Ministry of Finance.

"This is good news for farmers in flats (limited meetings) and coordination meetings (limited coordination meetings) increased from 4.7 million tons to 9.55 million tons. The President has agreed, the Minister of Finance has also agreed. Just waiting for the decree," said Minister Amran after a working meeting with Commission IV DPR RI at the Parliament Building in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 13.

It's just that, said the Minister of Agriculture, farmers need to be patient because at this time the Decree has not been issued.

In addition to fertilizers, Amran ensured that the government had also approved an additional budget (ABT) of IDR 5.8 trillion to anticipate the impact of El Nino through fast solution programs such as pumping and repairs.

"The Rp5.8 trillion ABT has also been approved. Hopefully, the realization will be realized in the near future because this is to anticipate the impact of El Nino, which has tremendous pressure so that our land area will decrease by approximately 26 percent. Now in the future we will do pumping in large rivers such as solo hosts to increase the planting index from one to two to even three," said Amran.

Regarding this, the Chairman of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sudin, asked the Ministry of Finance to immediately return the allocation of subsidized fertilizers to 9.55 million tons.

However, the Sub-Department requested that the distribution of fertilizers be closely monitored so that criminal acts and other irregularities do not occur.

"Commission IV approved and asked the Ministry of Finance through the Ministry of Agriculture to return the allocation of subsidized fertilizers to 9.55 million tons with a note that supervision in the distribution and distribution must be increased so that there is no misappropriation," he explained.
