PT KAI Adds 344 Train Trips From Gambir Station And Pasar Senen For Lebaran 2024 Homecoming

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta provides 344 additional train trips from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station for the transportation of Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijri homecoming.

"Until now, there are 344 additional trains for the Eid transportation period from March 31 to April 21, 2024, with an average of 16 long-distance Ai Trains (KAJJ) per day," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 11.

Ixfan said the additional train was to accommodate the high interest of the public using rail transportation services who had not yet received tickets for the Eid al-Fitr period in 2024.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has opened an additional train ticket order for Eid al-Fitr since Wednesday, March 6.

From Gambir 10 KAJJ Station and Pasar Senen Station as many as 6 KAJJ. Ticket orders can be made through the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, contact center 121 and various official sales partners in collaboration with KAI.

"The counters at the station only serve go show ticket sales starting 3 hours before the train departure schedule," said Ixfan.

He conveyed that the 344 additional ticket trips departing from the KAI Daop 1 Jakarta area were available for favorite connection trips such as Jakarta - Solo pp, Jakarta - Surabaya pp, Jakarta - Malang, and others.

Ixfan said that in total during the Eid 2024 transportation period for 22 days starting March 31 to April 21, 2024, there were 1,537 train trips with 844,741 seats provided for initial train departures from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen in the KAI Daop 1 Jakarta area.

This number, said Ixfan, is included in the additional trains that will be operated during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period in 2024.

Meanwhile, for the average train per day, there are 70 train trips operating during the Eid transportation period, of which 35 trains per day depart from Gambir Station and 35 other trains depart from Pasar Senen Station.

According to him, the presence of additional trains is a form of KAI's commitment to serve the community as well as possible and show KAI's readiness to provide transportation facilities for customers who want to travel during Eid.

"If you look at the provisions for booking tickets that can be done since 45 days before the scheduled departure, starting today, people who want to use trains from the Daop 1 Jakarta area with the initial departure of Gambir Station and Pasar Senen can now book tickets for the departure schedule until April 21, 2024 or D+10," explained Ixfan.

As for the travel schedule from March 31 to April 21 (H-10 to D+10), there are 844,741 seats of which 390 thousand have been ordered.

"Outside of the favorite dates that are the choice of users of rail transportation services, namely March 31 to April 3, 2024 and departures from April 12 to 21, 2024 are still quite widely available," said Ixfan.
