First Time, 5 BUMDesma Serang Regency Audited By Public Accountants

JAKARTA - Five Joint Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesma) of the Financial Management Unit (UPK) Sub-district of Village Financial Institutions (LKD) in Serang Regency were audited for financial management by the Ministry of Villages of PTT through the Public Accountant Office (KAP) Tri Bowo Yulianti. Head of the Village Information Development Agency of the Ministry of Villages of PTT, Ivanorich Agusta, said that the BUMDesma audit process was the first in Indonesia to be followed up by BUMDes in East Java Province (East Java). "This is the first time in Indonesia starting from Serang Regency, five BUMDesma set aside their profits to be audited by the Public Accounting Office," he quoted Antara as saying.

According to Ivan, BUMNDesma has become modern if the financial report is ready for an audit by the accountant. This means that the BUMDesma can be trusted by banks, other parties, for example in collaboration with the private sector. "After the audit results come out, the task of the Ministry of Villages is PT. Prepare all policies and expand opportunities, especially BUMDes, which have been audited," he said. Ivan explained that the reason for BUMDesmas in Serang Regency is the first area to be audited from all regions in Indonesia because it is basically ready to be audited. Although there is a further area in the East Java region, it is different from the Banten Province where five BUMDesma are located in one area, namely Serang Regency. "The difference here is pre- audit has also been carried out, so this is also a pilot project. Besides the report results, the Ministry of Des wants to compile a policy towards an audit by a public accountant with a case or the result of an audit in Serang Regency so that it can be used throughout Indonesia," he explained.

"Moreover, the companion has coordinated many times, even in January 2024 President Joko Widodo made a working visit in Bojonegara District where one of them was reviewing the results or success of BUMDesma. This is a matter of pride," he said.

Meanwhile, Expert Staff of the Regent of Serang for Economic and Financial Development, Sugi Hardono said that of the 26 BUMDesma in Serang Regency who are ready to be audited are BUMDesma UPK Ciruas LKD, BUMDesma UPK Ciomas LKD, BUMDesma UPK Padarincang LKD, BUMDesma UPK Bojonegara LKD, BUMDesma UPK Mancak LKD. "Our hope is that the five BUMDesma can manage financial accounting management with applicable regulations so that they become advanced, useful, develop for economic growth in villages. In addition to developing, it can also prosper the people in villages," he said.
