JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) reminds the consequences for registrants of Free Homecoming Programs via bus if they are not re-valid. The reason is, NIK will automatically be blocked (banned) and unable to participate in the program in the next period for three consecutive times.
"If the prospective travelers do not register/re-valid until the specified time limit, the NIK will automatically be affected by the banned and cannot participate in the free homecoming program in the next period for three consecutive times. Of course this must be a concern for potential participants," said Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Hendro Sugiatno quoting Antara.
Hendro said participants were given D+5 time after the registration date, to re-register/re-valid at the designated post.
He explained that if through D+5 the participants did not re-validate, then the participant data was considered dead or charred so the quota would automatically increase and could not be re-registered (NIK was blocked by the system).
"This is to provide opportunities for other participants who want to register/do not get a quota of homecoming/reversely," said Hendro.
The Ministry of Transportation appealed to people who want to register for free homecoming with a bus mode to download the 'MitraDarat' application on the PlayStore or AppStore on a smartphone.
"Registration has started until April 3, 2024 or if the quota has been fulfilled," said Hendro.
In the MitraDarat application, said Hendro, prospective travelers login to the application by entering a Google email / account. Next enter the phone number (WhatsApp) and enter the OTP code, if requested. If the login has been successful, the main page of the MitraDarat application will appear and select the 'event' tab to see the Free Homecoming menu.

As for the requirements and provisions for the 2024 Gartis Homecoming, including online registration, through the 'MitraDarat' mobile application. Participants are also required to have valid residence documents when registering (KTP). Each participant can only choose one city for homecoming destinations," said Hendro.
If free homecoming participants will take part in homecoming (PP), then backflow registration is carried out simultaneously when registering for homecoming flow, provided that the city of return is the same as the city for homecoming destinations chosen (not serving registration only backflow/urban).
Participants who go back and forth on motorbikes are required to bring a vehicle letter (STNK and SIM) and driving equipment and hand over motorbikes according to the date determined by H-1 before the ceremonial date / bus departure.
For every participant of the free homecoming, it is hoped that they will be in good physical and spiritual health at the time of departure for the homecoming / reverse flow and must come at least 1 hour before departure time.
"For one free homecoming ticket booking account at MitraDarat, you can register a maximum of up to four homecoming participants with the same destination city. And one account can only place an order once," concluded Hendro.
