North Maluku Food Task Force Checks Availability Of Basic Food Ahead Of Ramadan

TERNATE - The North Maluku Police (Malut) food task force team conducted a surprise inspection (Sidak) at Bulog rice warehouse, the Himgienis Gamalama market and the food market in Ternate to ensure the availability of rice and other staples ahead of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah.

"From the inspection results, we got that the price of five kilograms of rice according to HET was Rp. 59 thousand which entered the retail of Bulog partners," said North Maluku Police Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Pol Afriadi Lesmana in Ternate, Friday.

Direskrimsus Polda North Maluku conveyed that this important check of basic commodities was related to the issue of rising rice prices and basic commodities ahead of Ramadan, so that the North Maluku Police food task force carried out a surprise inspection.

Therefore, as the head of the North Maluku Police Food Task Force Team, which was attended by the Head of Bulog Ternate Zadrach Evert Pattiwael Warehouse, and Paur Mitra Subbid Penmas for Public Relations of the North Maluku Police.

Dirreskrimsus also explained that the price of rice outside Ternate had indeed increased slightly due to the difference in shipping costs.

"We will coordinate with Bulog regarding the difference through this shipping fee, because the determined HET is IDR 59,000," he said.

Therefore, to all the people of North Maluku if there are sellers who increase the price of rice and other basic commodities, it is not in accordance with the provisions to report it to the Police or the authorities.

Meanwhile, Head of Bulog Ternate Warehouse, Zadrach Evert Pattiwael, added that the rice stock in North Maluku is approximately 700 tons and is on its way to around 5,600 tons.

"For the stock of rice needs, it is still safe until Eid, after Eid, it is still safe," he added. He also expressed support with the local government's program to carry out cheap market activities, with this activity Bulog is ready to supply rice to these activities.
