Garuda Indonesia Blessings From Taylor Swift Concert In Singapore, Passengers Increase By 30 Percent

JAKARTA - Taylor Swift's concert in Singapore turned out to bring blessings to PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

The reason is, Garuda Indonesia passengers have increased by 30 percent.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra said the increase in passengers was quite high. In fact, it requires the company to add one flight.

"Add. So when we get it (concert) we increase by 30 percent. So there is one addition," said Irfan when met at the Ministry of Transportation Office, Jakarta, Thursday, March 7.

Irfan revealed that there were three locations where flights experienced an increase, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, and Denpasar, Bali.

Furthermore, Irfan said the highest increase in passengers occurred on flights from Jakarta.

"Jakarta, Denpasar isn't much, Surabaya has gone up a bit. Anyway (concert) Taylor Swift has gone away a lot, it also contains Indonesians there, it's great," he explained.

In addition to the increase in the number of airplane passengers, Irfan admitted that he received information about an increase in hotel occupancy in Singapore.

According to him, entertainment events and sports activities can indeed become a magnet for tourism and air transportation users.

"So it turns out that the fact that sporting events and concerts have indeed gone up. Right, that's a fact, hotels have a lot of prices going up," he said.
