Minister Of Industry Happy The Commitment Value At Business Matching 2024 Reaches IDR 1,428 Trillion

The Ministry of Industry noted that the value of the commitment to purchase domestic products from the 2024 Business Matching event in Bali reached IDR 1,428 trillion.

This figure comes from the commitment of ministries, institutions and local governments of IDR 585.69 trillion and the commitment of SOEs of IDR 842.56 trillion.

"The implementation of Business Matching 2024 organized by the Ministry of Industry recorded the value of the commitment to purchase domestic products in the procurement of government goods of IDR 1,428.25 trillion," said Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, March 7.

Minister of Industry Agus assessed that this figure was higher than in the previous period which only reached a commitment figure of IDR 1,157 trillion.

The Business Matching 2024 activity which was held on March 4, 2023, received extraordinary enthusiasm because it was attended by 4,437 participants. They consist of representatives of ministries, institutions, local governments (k/l/pd), business entities, associations and industrial companies.

In addition, the realization of domestic product absorption of Rp. 213.68 trillion has been achieved, which comes from the realization of k/l/pd of Rp. 146.94 trillion and BUMN of Rp. 66.74 trillion.

This figure is higher than the previous period which reached the realization figure of Rp. 181 trillion.

"We are optimistic that this number will continue to grow and it is hoped that it will reach Rp250 trillion by the end of the first quarter of 2024," he said.

At the Business Matching 2024 event, a contract for the use of domestic products was also signed in the defense sector of IDR 2.24 trillion out of a total of IDR 9.3 trillion by the Ministry of Defense together with PT Len and PT Pindad for the procurement of ammunition, weapons.

Then, for combat vehicles and tactical vehicles as well as defense and security equipment systems (Alpalhankam).

It is known, the signing of a contract for the use of domestic products in the construction sector amounted to Rp2.09 trillion out of a total of Rp16.4 trillion by the Ministry of PUPR together with a number of partners, such as PT Adhi Karya (Persero), Tbk, PT Brantas Abipraya KSO PT Wijaya Karya (Persero), Tbk, KSO CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd, PT Waskita Karya (Persero), Tbk, including for the construction of VVIP airports, presidential secretariat buildings and feeder roads in the IKN Region.

"This proves that domestic products already have the ability and quality that can meet the needs of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of PUPR," he said.

Furthermore, as of March 7, 2023, there are already 2,558 work units in k/l/pd that have inputted detailed domestic product needs data with a total commitment value of IDR 134.03 trillion which domestic producers need to fulfill immediately.

"During the three days of business matching, the value of this commitment increased by Rp53 trillion, after previously the detailed process was also carried out since early January 2024," he said.

From this data, the construction of road and office buildings is the most needed procurement by k/l/pd. In addition, there are also weapons and ammunition, fuel, special needs machines and domestic pharmaceutical materials.
