The New Japek Toll Rates And The MBZ Flyover Are Valid On March 9, Here Are The Details

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has imposed new tariffs on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road and MBZ Flyover on Saturday, March 9, 2024, starting at 00.00 WIB.

The increase in tariffs is said to be compensation from the addition of lanes on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the provision of Emergency Parking Bay facilities on Jalan Layang MBZ.

The main components of adjusting the integration rate are based on inflation considerations for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from the period September 2016 to December 2023 as well as inflation calculations for the MBZ Flyover segment from October 2020 to December 2023.

In addition, another component is the return of investment to increase the capacity of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from KM 50 to KM 67 to Cikampek and KM 62 to KM 50 to Jakarta and the provision of 4 Emergency Parking Bay facilities on Jalan Layang MBZ.

"This tariff adjustment is needed to ensure a conducive toll road investment climate, maintain the confidence of investors and market players in the prospective toll road industry in Indonesia and ensure the level of service of toll road managers remains in accordance with toll road Minimum Service Standards (SPM)," said Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal PT JTT Ria Marlinda Paalo in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, March 6.

The addition of the capacity of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road lane itself has been carried out in the period 2022 to 2023, namely by increasing the capacity of toll roads from 3 lanes to 4 lanes along 18.2 kilometers (km).

This capacity increase is intended to increase smoothness by unraveling the density of vehicles after KM 48 towards Cikampek due to the meeting of two traffic flows from the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the MBZ Flyover.

Other service improvements were also carried out on Jalan Layang MBZ by providing emergency parking bays at 4 location points, namely KM 21 and KM 41 towards Cikampek and KM 40 and KM 22 towards Jakarta. All of this was done to answer the safety needs of road users when an emergency occurred on the flyover toll road.

Adjustment of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and MBZ Flyover Integration Tariffs is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number: 250/KPTS/M/2024 dated February 2, 2024 concerning Adjustments to Integration Tariffs on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road.

Toll tariff adjustments have been regulated in Article 48 paragraph (3 and 4) of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 38 of 2004 concerning roads which states that in addition to evaluation and adjustment of toll rates carried out every two years, evaluation and adjustments can be made in terms of increasing scope outside business plans that affect the feasibility of toll road investment.

Jakarta Interchange-Cikampek

Group I: IDR 27,000, originally IDR 20,000
