Jabodebek LRT Promo Tariff Extended Until March 31, 2024

The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has extended the implementation of the Jabodebek LRT promo tariff until March 31, 2024.

This is intended to continue to attract public interest in using mass transportation in order to reduce congestion in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Traffic and Train Transport Director Arif Anwar through his statement in Jakarta, Friday, March 1, said that the extension of the promo rate was in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 67 of 2023 concerning Transportation Rates for People With Light Trains Integrated in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi Regions to Implement Public Service Obligations. "This promo is carried out by providing public service obstruction (PSO) subsidies so that tariffs are more affordable for the community," said Arif, as reported by Antara. Meanwhile, LRT rates on weekdays (Monday-Fridays) are busy for the period 06.00-08.59 WIB and 16.00-19.59 WIB amounting to Rp. 3,000 for the first 1 km and a maximum of Rp. 20,000. Then, tariffs on weekdays (Mon-Jumat) outside of peak hours amounting to Rp. 3,000 for the first 1 km and a maximum of Rp. 10,000. The time period, which is the start of operating hours up to 05.59 WIB, 09.00-15.59 WIB, and 20.00 WIB until the end of operating hours. Meanwhile, for tariffs on Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays amounting to Rp. 3,000 for the first 1 km and a maximum of Rp. 10,000.

In addition to extending promo rates, Arif said that as of March 1, 2024, the Jabodebek LRT operates with 308 trips per day serving the Dukuh Atas-Jatimulya (PP) and Dukuh Atas-Harjamukti (PP) routes.

The operational time of the Jabodebek LRT during weekdays (Monday-Friday) follows the following provisions, namely the earliest departure from Jatimulya Station to Dukuh Atas Station is 05:22 WIB; the earliest departure from Harjamukti Station to Dukuh Atas Station is 05:30 WIB; the last departure from Dukuh Atas Station to Jatimulya Station is 22:08 WIB.

Next, the final departure from Dukuh Atas Station to Harjamukti Station is at 22:13 WIB, headway or train waiting time is 6 minutes for the Dukuh Atas-Cawang segment and 12.5 minutes for the Cawang-Harjamukti/Jatimulya segment. "Hopefully this promo rate extension can attract more people to switch to leaving their private vehicles," said Arif.
