JAKARTA - The plan for the Nusantara Consortium to build a botanical garden in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago is still under discussion. One of the things discussed is regulations regarding development with a donation scheme.

Deputy for Funding and Investment of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Agung Wicaksono admitted that today he had met with investors to discuss, including from the Nusantara Consortium. He said, one of the things discussed was related to the regulation of the donation scheme for development.

"We are still discussing it together. So, earlier I also attended and discussed with investors, including those who came from the Nusantara Consortium regarding the first is a draft regulation on the provision of donations or donations and what is the scheme for reducing gross income that occurs from the donation proceeds," Agung said in a media briefing on the 5th Groundbreaking Preparation Update for the capital city of Nusantara online, Tuesday, February 27.

Agung said that the botanical garden construction would use the donation scheme. The reason is, the construction of a botanical garden is not entirely a commercial investment, but is a form of creating a green area in IKN.

He said the regulation had been discussed together. Investors have also understood, including its relation to the registration of donations through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.

"So it was carried out together with the Ministry of Finance, both the Directorate General of Taxes and the Fiscal Policy Agency. There are BKPM and the Ministry of Investment because it is related to OSS. There is also from the Ministry of ATR BPN because it is related to the right to land," he said.

According to Agung, the plan for the botanical garden development must be in accordance with the policies set out in Government Regulation (PP) Number 12 of 2023.

"So, regarding the details of the scheme later, it will certainly be explained by each from the Consortium, but this is in the form of a contribution or donation and there is a scheme in Government Regulation Number 12 of 2023 and the formulation is outlined in the Minister of Finance Regulation which is now just waiting to be signed and also the OIKN Chief Regulation which will also be signed after harmonization," he concluded.
