MIND ID Gets Rate From Vale's Managing Director, Erick Thohir Keeps Febriany Eddy

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir decided to maintain Febriany Eddy as President Director of PT Vale Indonesia as a representative of MIND ID.

As is known, MIND ID received a seat from the President Director and Director of Human Resources (HR) at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) after officially acquiring 14 percent of the company's shares.

"Sister Febriany Eddy will still be the President Director representing MIND IDM," said Erick at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Monday, February 26.

Erick explained that the reason for maintaining Febriany as President Director of Vale Indonesia was to ensure the company's operational sustainability, as well as the commitment to downstream nickel.

"We and VCL (Vale Canada Limited) as the first and second largest shareholders have agreed to continue their downstream commitment as a form of company support for the government's strategic program," said Erick.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said MIND ID also received three chair commissioners, including the main commissioner at PT Vale Indonesia. Likewise with the position of Human Resources (HR) Director or Director of Human Resources (HR).

"We have agreed that VCL will appoint an operational director and also the director in charge of managing this ESG," he said.

"This confirms that we still want the ESG standard which has been VCL's commitment to be maintained, including the best mining practice that Vale Indonesia has shown so far," he added.
