President Director Of Garuda Indonesia Optimistic That The Pikachi Jet GA1 Aircraft Will Increase Its Attractiveness To Prospective Passengers

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra is optimistic that the launch of a Livery aircraft called Pikachu Jet GA1 with a pattern of pokemon cartoon design can increase the appeal of prospective flight passengers.

"Of course we are very optimistic that the collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and The Pokemon Company can increase the attractiveness of passengers, besides that it can promote plane trips, so that those who like to travel will be more encouraging," said Irfan in Tangerang, quoted from Antara, Thursday 22 February.

He said, along with the momentum of the revival of the national tourism sector and the growth in the number of passengers, especially in the international aviation sector.

Thus, his party also launched a design of the pokemon cartoon pattern on the aircraft livery to provide new experiences for aviation service users.

"Sebagai salah satu brand yang paling populer di dunia, tentunya livery pesawat yang menampilkan beberapa Pokemon, khususnya Pikachu," jelasnya.

According to him, the existence of this new concept is believed to be an attraction for the community, especially Pokemon fans in the world.

"The collaboration of aircraft livery designs between Garuda Indonesia and ThePokemonCompany, is the place to introduce Indonesia's advantages in the global arena," he said.

In addition to having a new Pokemon-themed design on the fuselage, Garuda Indonesia will also feature the card character in other facilities.

In fact, continued Irfan, his party will provide various collaborative merchandise products with Pokemon. This product can later be obtained through the official GarudaShop sales channel as attracting prospective passengers.

"The Garuda Indonesia flight will also be equipped with other services that use the Pokemon theme, including at the passenger touchpoint," he explained.

Meanwhile, Corporate Officer of Asia Business Division The Pokemon Company Susumu Fukunaga added that the results of the Pikachu Jet livery design collaboration are part of the "PokemonAir Adventures" program which provides a special Pokemon-themed flight experience.

The Pokemon design, which is applied to the B737-800NG type fleet aircraft, will begin to be flown for the first time on Friday, February 23, 2024, on the Jakarta-Denpasar route, Bali.

"So we want to return to the excitement of the phase flight a few years ago we were hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes everyone unable to go anywhere. So, with this collaboration, it is hoped that it will restore the excitement," he said.

He thanked the Government of Indonesia, especially the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, for working hard to realize this collaboration as creating excitement again on plane flight trips.

"I would like to thank the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for realizing this collaboration, where this project is expected to create excitement in tourism travel," he said.
