Build A Megah Building At PIK 2 Worth IDR 1.4 Trillion, BNI Carry The Green Building Concept

JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, built an office building with the concept of green building in a business and commercial area in the Central Business District (CBD) Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang, Banten.

The construction of this building is expected to cost an investment of IDR 1.4 trillion.

The groundbreaking or inauguration of the construction of the BNI Building in the PIK 2 area was attended by the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir.

Erick said the construction of this building could be an example of a collaboration between SOEs and the private sector. He said this building could also play a role in national economic growth.

For your information, the PIK 2 Tangerang area, Banten is owned by a group of companies led by Sugianto Kusuma alias Aguan, Agung Sedayu. Meanwhile, PT PP is working on this project.

"I said that if you collaborate on what it might be like today, BNI is investing in building infrastructure at PIK, this is nothing but an improvement earlier, how do we support it rather than overall economic growth," he said at the Groundbreaking of the BNI Building, at PIK 2, Tangerang, Banten, Tuesday, February 20.

Erick also hopes that BNI can contribute to boosting economic growth. Not limited to certain aspects but also as a whole.

"Both in terms of financial, where we encourage loan growth so that new entrepreneurs can be born. Or again encourage how Indonesian entrepreneurs can grow internationally and of course in Indonesia itself," he explained.

New Icon BNI

Meanwhile, BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar said the BNI building would become a new icon of BNI. Where there will be three towers, namely Emerald Tower, Office Tower, and Facility Tower.

Royke said this building will function to serve BNI customers and as an office space, which is equipped with various exclusive features, including exclusive tenants, exclusive ballrooms, sports facilities, sky lounges, and sky gardens.

Furthermore, he explained, the construction of this building aims to optimize assets and the efficiency of office space rental costs which continue to increase in line with the implementation of the development of the more agile and collaborative BNI "New Way of Working" organization.

"This building will be completed in the next two years, so that it can provide added value for BNI and encourage an increase in the added value of the national economy," he said.

Royke said that the construction of the building with the green building concept is also to support the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in all aspects of the company.

For your information, the building, which was built on an area of more than 10,000 square meters, will be the office building of the first State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in Indonesia to implement the concept of a green building with a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certificate.
