BLT Mitigasi Risiko Pangan Sebesar Rp600,000 Belum Cair, Airlangga: Kita Realisasikan Ramadan

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Food Risk Mitigation of IDR 600,000 is likely to only be distributed in Ramadan 2024.

Previously, the Government targeted the distribution of the BLT in February, but the date has not been set because food assistance including BLT El Nino is still ongoing today.

"The food is still running, we will realize the BLT for Ramadan as well. We have a BLT of Rp. 200,000 a month," said Airlangga Hartarto when met after attending the 2024 OJK Financial Services Industry Annual Meeting, Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Airlangga emphasized that the Food Risk Mitigation BLT is different from the El-Nino BLT. However, because currently food prices continue to increase, intervention from the Government is needed to maintain people's purchasing power.

"That's what mitigates food risk, because food prices are relatively rising, so we've seen that, so we prepared the BLT earlier," he said.

For information, the Food Risk Mitigation BLT program budget of IDR 11.25 trillion will be given to 18.8 million people who have been registered as Beneficiary Families (KPM) who are targeted for the program.

This Food Risk Mitigation BLT is designed for January 2024 to March 2024 with an aid distribution of around Rp. 200,000 per month. So that the recipient will receive assistance of Rp. 600,000 per family.
