EMP Successfully Produced 180 Million Foot Kubik Gas Throughout 2023

JAKARTA - Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) succeeded in producing 6,000 barrels of oil per day (boPD) and 180 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (BSCFD) throughout 2023.

"Last year we succeeded above 10 percent, so we hope that this trend will continue in the coming year where we are targeting growth of 10-15 percent per year," said PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk Vice President Director & CFO, Edoardus Ardianto at Energy Corner, Tuesday, February 13.

Edoardus added that his party also succeeded in drilling 12 wells consisting of 7 exploration wells and 5 development facilities throughout 2023.

"In addition, we have also succeeded in carrying out 2D and 3D seismic activities where we have carried out this entire series to increase the company's production as a whole and try to increase the number of company reserves," continued Edoardus.

For this reason, Edoardus said that his party is targeting oil and gas production growth of 10 to 15 percent in 2024.

Edoardus said that to support the increase in oil and gas production, his party will drill 2 development wells in the Gebang Working Area (WK) located in North Sumatra.

"Development will be carried out in stages where one will start in 2024, an additional 40 million cubic feet of gas per day," continued Edoardus.

He further stated that currently EMP has 11 Working Areas (WK) and as many as 10 oil and gas WKs are located in Indonesian territory while the other 1 is located in Africa.

"6 WKs have produced. There are 4 WKs that contribute to the production and revenue of companies, namely the working area of Malacca and Bentu in Riau Province, the working area of Kangian in East Java, and also the Sengkang area in South Sulawesi," he explained.

Edoardus also revealed that the four WKs have contributed to the company by 90 percent of the total EMP production in 2023.

"The 4 WK contributed 90 percent of the total EMP production," concluded Edoardus.
