YOGYAKARTA Iwan Bule is being discussed especially after the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir appointed Iwan Bule as President Commissioner of Pertamina. Iwan Bule was born on March 31, 1962. He is a Retired High-ranking Police Officer with the last rank of Commissioner General (Komjen) or Three-star Police.

Iwan Bule's actions started with the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1984. After that he devoted his life to the institution for several years. While in the police, Iwan Bule was recorded as changing positions several times but he served more in the field of criminal investigation. The position he once held was as Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya.

The position was obtained after Iwan Bule replaced Simon Aloysius Mantiri who was appointed as President Director of Pertamina.

Regarding the appointment and dismissal of the directors and commissioners of BUMN, PT Pertamina's Vice President for Corporate Communication (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso said that this was the government's authority.
