JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of the Baleraja Suspension Bridge in Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, West Java, which cost IDR 10.2 billion.

This bridge has provided tangible benefits as a liaison for the mobilization of residents of Baleraja Village, Gantar District, and Sidajaya Village in Subang Regency.

"The bridge, which was built with the APBN of Rp. 10.2 billion, provides tangible benefits as a liaison for the mobilization of local residents," reads the official statement quoted from the official Instagram account @ditjenkn, Wednesday, February 7.

With the presence of the Baleraja bridge, now residents in Baleraja Village, Gantar District, with Sidajaya Village, Subang Regency can connect. Given, the people in the two villages have a high level of mobility.

"With this bridge, the travel time between the two villages is only about 10 minutes," he said.

The construction of the Baleraja Suspension Bridge which was built in 2022 on the Cipunagara River has a length of 120 meters (m).

The inauguration of this bridge has been carried out by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono together with Member of Commission V DPR RI Dedi Wahidi and Regent of Indramayu Nina Agustina on Monday, November 27, 2023.
